Tired all the time? You may have Adrenal Fatigue

shutterstock_155600579Adrenal Fatigue is a stress related condition that occurs when your adrenal glands, hypothalamus and pituitary gland are functioning at less than optimal level. These organs control many vital processes in your body, but most importantly, they control your body’s response to stress by releasing hormones like cortisol, DHEA and epinephrine. These hormones roles are to stabilize your body’s response to physical, emotional or mental stresses, whether they come by injury or illness, major life changes, or exposure to large amounts of toxins.

When your adrenal glands are overstimulated by chronic stress they begin to dump adrenaline when they shouldn’t and cause hyperactivity, anxiousness and panic. If your adrenal glands are in overdrive too long without getting a chance to rest and recharge, they will get worn out and won’t be able to produce normal levels or cortisol which leads to a variety of ailments, including feeling very tired and fatigued.
